The beginnings were when the Abdullah Moftah Foundation was established in the year 2000 AD and it is licensed by the Central Bank of Yemen as a result of the high demand for currency exchange and money transfer in the Republic of Yemen. In the year 2018 AD, the Abdullah Muftah Foundation and the Abu Abdullah Muftah Foundation were merged into one company, as it became under the name of the Muftah Exchange Company with license number (6356/21).

Muftah Company is the leading company in the banking field and money transfer to and from all over the world. Abdullah Muftah Foundation was established in 2000 and is licensed by the Central Bank of Yemen as a result of the high demand for currency exchange and money transfer in the Republic of Yemen. In 2018, this institution was changed. After merging the two institutions, Abdullah Muftah Foundation and Abu Abdullah Hafez Muftah Foundation, into one company, Muftah Exchange and Transfers Company
